From the 1st of October the municipality Amsterdam introduces ''report your holiday rental''. This applies only when you are a private homeowner and you rent out your entire property.
This rules is to prevent homeowners from illegally renting out their property more than 60 nights per calendar year, meaning without having a bed&breakfast or short-stay permit. With your DigiD you can report guests coming in easily using the form on their website. You will find the information you need in your real-time ''my bnbmanager'' booking overview.
If you want to know more, the gemeente Amsterdam has launched an FAQ on their website, in Dutch only... If you have difficulties to understand or any additional questions you can contact us or the gemeente Amsterdam directly via: 14020.
Down here we help you step by step to "report your holiday rental" at the municipality.
Go to: https://www.amsterdam.nl/wonen-leefomgeving/wonen/bijzondere-situaties/vakantieverhuur/ and click "Meld vakantieverhuur".
1. "Inleiding": With this step the conditions are explained again. By clicking on "volgende" you go to the next step: "aanmelden met DigiD".
2. "Aanmelden met DigiD": In this step you log in to DigiD with your personal username and password. Click on "volgende" and the DigiD login screen appears.
3. "Uw gegevens". Check the entered data and fill in your details if necessary.
Answer the question: "Wilt u bovenstaand adres melden?" Yes. Click "volgende".
Enter the rental period "Wat is de periode waarin de woning wordt verhuurd?" and click on "volgende". Then click "volgende" again and go to step 4.
4. "Controle gegevens". With this step you agree with the conditions and check your data for the last time. Place a tick in the next question: Ik heb de voorwaarden gelezen en alle gegevens correct en volledig ingevuld. Ik begrijp dat een melding via internet dezelfde juridische status heeft als een melding met een geschreven geldige handtekening." Click on "volgende".
5. "Bevestiging en afdrukken". This is the final step: confirm, print and you are done!
